Psychiatrist Locum Tenens Job in the California Bay Area Adolescent Residential Treatment Program

Details/Requirements:
Residential treatment program for adolescent boys for 30 hours a week starting ASAP and ongoing.
Ideally prefer an in-person doctor but will consider hybrid services of at least one day a week onsite and the rest of the services can be done via remote tele health. Client uses a HIPAA compliant version of Zoom for tele health.
Board Certified child psychiatrist is strongly preferred; might consider a board certified adult psychiatrist who s experienced with adolescents ages 12-17, but most patients are ages 16-17.
28-bed adolescent boys dual diagnosis residential treatment program.
Average daily census 24 patients. Current census is 21.
ALOS 45 days.
Hours: somewhat flexible regarding days/hours worked as long as they’re between 8A-5P, M, W, Th, F; however, Tuesdays are mandatory due to treatment team meetings on Tuesday mornings.
Initial evaluations are 1 hour, follow ups are as much as 30 minutes but can be less for some patients depending on a patient s needs.
Patients have co-occurring disorders, substance abuse primary diagnosis with depression, anxiety, ADHD, etc. being secondary.
Credentialing takes approximately two weeks, including a live scan, TB test, etc.
E.H.R. called KIPU, so candidates must be computer savvy. Will be changing in a few months to a new E.H.R.
Prefer 6-months to one-year minimum assignments.
Requires candidates who have residential treatment experience and addiction medicine experience, meaning experience treating patients with co-occurring disorders.
