Job Duties: Management of the global injection mold equipment category, gages and checking fixtures, secondary manufacturing machines, equipment and tooling related to various plastic parts assembly technologies, (i.e., ultrasonic welding, other welding, thermal treatment, mechanical joining, gluing, etc.); machines, equipment and tooling for painting and chrome-plating technologies used at SRG Global plants in NA region, Europe, and in China. Negotiate raw materials prices, components prices, finished goods prices, standard and non-standard (highly customized) machines and equipment delivery terms and conditions with suppliers (Tier 1, 2 and 3) and develop pricing agreements, cooperation, and supply agreements. Provide tooling, machinery, and equipment technical and procurement expertise to manage suppliers both pre-award and post-award in the automotive sector. Lead the development of procurement strategy for described tooling, machinery, and process equipment category at all levels (global & local), ensuring cost-effective results, and ethical procurement practices that support virtuous cycles of mutual benefits. Lead the development of global Tooling Transformation strategy with focus to develop best-in-class relationships with tooling preferred business partners. Identify opportunities to lower costs through negotiation strategy development (by means of technical, commercial and process levers) and identifying tooling design/build/development alternatives. Lead the development of Category Execution Summary document to provide a clear guidance to all stakeholders on strategic sourcing execution and process. Provide close functional and strategic direction, coaching and motivation to a geographically dispersed group of Strategic Sourcing & Procurement colleagues, site procurement members, Tooling Engineering members – to help the execution of the strategy. Analyze category market attributes such as the number of suppliers, competitiveness, logistics, technology, criticality, market complexity, alternative and/or innovative products and develop suppliers categorization matrix. Engage stakeholders to fully understand the impact of described tooling, machinery and process equipment on the operations and facilitate the engagement of stakeholders to improve the total cost of ownership. Utilize market and business intelligence to effectively develop tooling, machinery and process equipment sourcing strategy, supply risk assessment and monitoring (i.e., supplier financial health, supplier capacity, etc.), cost drivers development (i.e., steel price fluctuations), potential insolvency risks, etc. -in order to support effective business award decision making. Build strong relationships with the R&D, Tooling Engineering, Product Development Engineering, Program Management leadership and the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement network at regional and global level, to ensure a comprehensive strategy is developed and executed. Manage and lead escalated, high risk business negotiations, i.e., supplier bankruptcy, shutdowns, etc. resulting in suppliers inability to continue operations and deliver products to SRG Global. Minimum Requirements: Employer requires a Bachelors degree (3- or 4- year degrees are acceptable) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience in mold making or injection molding tooling engineering. In lieu of a Bachelors degree, employer will accept an additional 2 years of experience in mold making or injection molding tooling engineering. Of the required experience, must have: 3 years of experience in innovative primary tooling (molds) technologies, assembly machines and equipment for secondary manufacturing operations, gages and checking fixtures, painting, and plating racks and EOAT tooling technologies, trends, and their challenges within tooling automotive industry; 3 years of experience with OEMs tooling engineering groups; 3 years of experience in supply market knowledge primary tooling, secondary tooling, gages and checking fixtures, painting, and plating racks and EOAT; 3 years of experience using 6-step Strategic Sourcing concept and tools, including at least one of the following: TCO, Clean Sheet Modelling, Kraljic matric, or Porters 5 forces, developing Supplier Relationship Management programmes and Supplier Risk Management practices; 3 years of experience in negotiating highly customized tooling, machinery, and process equipment for injection molding, painting, and plating technologies; 3 years of experience of with contract negotiations, including NDAs, General T&Cs, standard and highly customized supply, delivery and cooperation agreements, and pricing agreements; 3 years of experience in leading and managing relationships with key suppliers; refreshing, developing and tracking metrics (KPIs) as well as all associated contract life-cycle management activities such as renewing expiring contracts and updating pricing annually; 3 years of experience in managing projects within tooling engineering, Process engineering and CAPEX environment; 3 years of experience with cost estimations and/or Should Cost Model development for primary tooling (molds), assembly machines and equipment for secondary manufacturing operations, gages and checking fixtures, painting, and plating racks and EOAT tooling; 3 years of engineering and strategic procurement experience with a multinational corporation; 3 years of experience with the following data analytics programs: MS Excel, PowerBI, Sievo, or similar; and 2 years of experience in using Coupa procurement suite.
