  • You will serve as a supervisor for the Cyber Security and Information Technologies Division within the Systems Engineering Directorate of the Technical Center of the Space and Missile Defense Command.
  • You will provide management and technical oversight of cyber security, software assurance, information technology, help desk response, network architecture, computer hardware, structure and implementation for the Technical Center.
  • Plan organizational structure and staffing needs for the Directorate.
  • Support the implementation/administration of computer security policies applicable to Research, Development, Test, or Evaluation.
  • Determine and assign types of jobs/duties needed, request personnel actions, and make selections for vacancies.
  • Assist employees in career planning, develop work performance standards and periodically evaluate employee performance.

  • A one-year supervisory probation period is required unless requirements have previously been met.
  • This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). Acquisition Corps Membership is no longer required for Critical Acquisition Positions (CAP). CAP selectees must execute a 3-year tenure agreement.

Additional information about transcripts is .Basic Requirement for SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC):Specialized and Other Experience:To qualify for this position, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (DE-03 or GS-13) or equivalent pay band in the Federal service which includes 1) Manage information technology supporting a Research/Development, Test, or Evaluation mission environment; 2) Oversee IT systems/applications for a technology program (such as cyber security, software assurance, help desk response, network architecture, computer hardware, or structure); and 3) Coordinate requirement or procurement documentation for IT systems.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower pay band/grade level position in the federal service (DE-03/GS-13).The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:(1) Attention to Detail – Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
