- Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
- Pay Rate: $30 – 35 per hour
Job Summary:The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy services to patients, helping them improve mobility, relieve pain, and achieve maximum physical function. The PTA will carry out treatment plans, document patient progress, and ensure high-quality patient care.Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing physical therapy treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
- Perform therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional activities with patients.
- Educate patients and families on exercise programs and home safety.
- Record accurate and timely patient progress notes and documentation.
- Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to adjust treatment as needed.
- Ensure equipment is clean, safe, and maintained.
- Participate in team meetings and patient care conferences.
- Comply with all state and federal regulations and facility policies.
Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current state license or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
- Previous experience as a PTA (preferred, but not always required).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Travel & Local Considerations:
- Candidates residing 50 miles from the facility are eligible for travel pay.
