Differs from Nursing Assistant 2 by the absence of responsibility for more advanced duties and the absence of lead worker responsibilities.Differs from Nursing Unit Aide by the presence of responsibility for performance of sub professional nursing duties.Examples of WorkMeasures temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, height and weight; records in patients medical record.May assist with documenting admission of new patients on medical record.Provides care to patients such as ambulating, feeding, bathing, positioning and lifting.May sterilize equipment and supplies.Distributes clean linen, washes, dries, sorts, folds, and stores patients clothing.Collects, labels and transports laboratory specimens as assigned.
