This position generally works evenings (Monday through Friday) starting at 4:30 p.m. and weekends (between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m.), and may include holidays. The Dimond Park Field House is located in Dimond Park (2961 Riverside Drive).Typical ResponsibilitiesThis position oversees public use of the Dimond Park Field House, a 28,000-square-foot facility featuring an artificial turf field, elevated track, and other recreation facilities. The Dimond Park Field House is heavily used by youth sports organizations, the Juneau School District, and the general public. The Recreation Aide is responsible for daily operation of the facility, including: retail sales, providing information to customers, completing light cleaning and maintenance of the facility and equipment. All employees are expected to deliver outstanding customer service.Minimum QualificationsLicensureCPR/First Aid Certification within 30 days of employmentOtherMust be 18 years of age at time of appointment.Supplemental InformationThis recruitment is being used to collect applications for part-time limited Recreation Aides for the Parks & Recreation Department. In accordance with 2 PR 010 part-time limited positions may be non-competitive and are not subject to public announcement.
